Data You Give Us Directly
If you use a search box, the name, phone number, or address is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Draper Residents Directory does not keep a copy of that search in its own content database. If you send a message, the mailbox receives the information you choose to include and uses it to answer or route your question.
Data We Gather Automatically
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, referring page, and time. These routine logs help protect service and measure broad traffic. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where enabled by the hosting and search providers.
What We Do With This Data
We use messages to reply, logs to keep the pages secure, and aggregate traffic data to improve the reference. We do not need an account to provide the pages. We do not build an individual profile from the public records linked through the site.
Links to Other Websites
Pages link to the Salt Lake County Assessor and Recorder, Draper City, Utah courts, Utah Vote, Utah Vital Records, the University of Utah collections, libraries, and archives. Once a reader leaves the site, the linked service’s privacy notice and terms apply. Search results marked as sponsored are supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting, analytics, advertising, and search providers may process the technical or search data described above. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. We do not sell a visitor list or give a mailbox message to a records custodian unless the sender asks for that routing or the law requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
The pages use an encrypted connection where supported by hosting. Access to ordinary logs and messages is limited to the people and services needed to run the reference. No password database or user profile is created here. No security method is perfect, so avoid sending a full identity document by email unless the intended custodian specifically requires it through a secure route.
Users Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask for personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor sends information to the contact mailbox, a parent or guardian may ask for it to be removed.
Your Data Rights
Utah’s Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61, gives covered consumers rights to confirm or access personal data, delete data provided by the consumer, obtain a copy, and opt out of sale or targeted advertising. Applicability depends on the entity, data, and statutory exclusions. Because this reference keeps little user data, a request can be sent through the Contact page; it will be checked against the mailbox and available logs.
Public records held by Utah, Salt Lake County, or Draper City are outside this reference’s control. A removal, correction, or protected-address request for a government record must go to that record’s custodian. Utah’s Safe at Home program and voter at-risk process have their own official routes.
Updates to This Policy
Changes will be posted here with a revised effective date when appropriate. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to later use of the reference.
